Paleo Sesame Ginger Steak & Green Bean Stir Fry
Ingredients
- 1 lb skirt steak, thinly sliced
- 1 lb green beans
- 2 tbsp arrowroot flour
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- Toasted Sesame seeds, option for garnish
For the Sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 TBSP rice wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/4 C coconut aminos
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- 1 tsp arrowroot flour
Instructions
- Combine all sauce ingredients & set aside.
- Place beef in a large mixing bowl and pat dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper, toss with arrowroot until well coated, and set aside.
- In a large skillet over high heat Add 1 tbsp. avo oil and 1 tbsp sesame oil then swirl the pan so it is evenly coated on the bottom. In batches add a single layer of steak to the pan. Sear the steak on the first side, then flip & Repeat. it takes 3- 4 minutes per side. It should be crisp & brown upon flipping. When both sides are cooked, transfer the cooked steak onto a plate and set aside. Before doing a second batch, add another tbsp of both avo & sesame oil. Then repeat
- In the same skillet over medium-high heat, drizzle 1 teaspoon oil and cook green beans 1 minute. Add 2 tablespoons water and cover with a lid to steam, 1 minute more. Drain any excess water from the pan before moving on to the next step. **If you bought in a prepackaged steaming bag, you can follow those package instructions and eliminate this pan step, and simply add the steamed green beans to the pan for the next step.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add the sauce and stir. It should thicken up very quickly thanks to the arrowroot. Toss in the cooked steak, toss to coat the meat. Garnish with sesame seeds & Serve immediately.
