Key Ingredients for Chipotle Turkey Burger Bowls with Creamy Cilantro Ranch
Ground turkey – To ensure the burgers are extra-juicy, use ground dark turkey or at least 93% lean meat.
Chipotle peppers in Adobo Sauce – Due to having a toddler, I don’t use the actual peppers in this recipe to keep it mild but I am using the adobo sauce & chipotle seasoning to achieve that smoky chipotle flavor without the heat!
Spices – My go-to combination of garlic powder & ground cumin creates classic Southwest-inspired flavor.
Burger bowl toppings – Have fun with this! I love using fresh greens, corn, pico de gallo or salsa, and smashed avocado to build the perfect turkey burger bowl. & whatever you do, be sure to finish off your loaded bowl with a handful of sweet potato fries!
Dairy Free Creamy Cilantro Ranch: A bowl of any kind calls for a drippy, tasty dressing. This dairy free ranch will require a paleo or homemade mayonnaise, that adobo sauce, garlic cloves, cilantro, chipotle seasoning, and lots of lime juice.
Turkey burger bowl recipe meal prep tips!
This turkey burger bowl recipe is already pretty quick, but you can make things even easier by prepping the burger mixture + dairy free cilantro ranch ahead of time. After forming the chipotle turkey burger patties, separate them with a piece of wax or parchment paper & store them in the fridge for up to 3 days. How to serve Chipotle Bowls to Kiddos
Deconstruct. Always!
The Ranch was a little spicy for my toddler, otherwise I would serve it for dipping!
